Ultra-thin condoms
Ultra-thin condoms use a thinner wall, often around 0.045mm or less, for more sensation and heat transfer. They meet the same Australian safety standard as any standard condom.
Wanting more feeling with a condom on is about as universal as it gets, and ultra-thin is the most requested feature we track. It's also the one most tangled in myth, so let's clear the big one up first. Thinner is not weaker. Every condom sold in Australia, thin or standard, has to pass the same burst and strength tests, so choosing thin isn't trading away safety.
What does vary is how thin, and the number tells you more than the label. "Ultra-thin" isn't regulated, so brands apply it loosely. Popular latex ranges thin to around 0.045mm, and some polyurethane and specialist latex condoms go well below that. Latex free SKYN and the thinnest Japanese latex are the usual names when people chase maximum sensation.
The one honest caveat is feel rather than safety. Some people find very thin condoms a bit fiddly to put on, and that's a real preference, not a failing. If that's you, a mid weight condom that fits well will treat you better than a thinner one that doesn't, and there's no wrong answer here.
The race to the thinnest condoms is largely Japanese, and Sagami and Okamoto pioneered the sub 0.02mm walls that still hold the records.
Any feature works better once the fit is sorted, so if you're not sure of your size, that's the place to start.

Frequently asked
Are ultra-thin condoms less safe?
No. Thin and standard condoms pass the same Australian burst and strength standard, so thinner is not weaker.
How thin is ultra-thin?
The term is unregulated. Popular latex ultra-thins sit near 0.045mm, and some polyurethane and Japanese latex go well below that.
Which ultra-thin condom is best for sensation?
It comes down to fit. Every condom on this page carries the maker’s thin label, so pick the one in your width band and you’re set.
